Join Leslie with Lotus Moon Ceramics for a creative, hands-on workshop where you’ll design and build your own tabletop game entirely out of clay. From classic favorites like Tic Tac Toe and Dominoes to fun solitaire boards and puzzle tiles, this class is all about play, creativity, and making something you can use for years to come. (Recommended for ages 16+. Ages 12+ may register if an adult also registers to accompany them).

No clay experience needed — beginners and returning students are welcome.
What You’ll Make
Each participant will choose one project from a curated menu of simple tabletop games, such as:
Tic Tac Toe
Peg Jump / Triangle Solitaire
Dominoes
Memory Match Tiles
Ceramic Dice Set
Mini Checkers
Nine Men’s Morris
Zen Puzzle Pebbles
Students can personalize their project with textures, stamps, carvings, and color choices that reflect their own style.
What We’ll Cover
During this workshop, you will learn:
Basic handbuilding techniques for small functional objects
How to design and plan a playable tabletop game
Methods for creating game tokens and boards
Tips for carving, stamping, and adding detail
How to finish your pieces for glaze firing
Class Format
Length: 3 hours, Feel free to bring a snack and water
Includes: Clay, tools, firing, and studio glazing
Age Level: Adults & teens
Skill Level: No experience required
Pickup
Finished pieces will be glazed and fired for you. Pickup will be available in 2–3 weeks and you’ll be notified when everything is ready.
